Last Friday, 8 March – International Womens’ Day – I set off from Rose Cottage with a great group of women to speGill sponsored walk with SI Winchester Soroptimistsnd the next seven days walking 82 mile around the boundary of Winchester in aid of some good causes.

We’ve so far had cold weather and snow and today are basking in glorious sunshine – you have to love the English weather!

Time flies when you are enjoying yourself and I can only assume that mud agrees with me because our 10 mile hike from Sparsholt over to Wonston on day one flew by in 4 hours of lively chat with seven intrepid walkers plus Benjy the dog.

For up to date information and pictures about my walk go to: http://sigbi.org/winchester-and-district/ where you can also download a sponsor form to help us raise as much money as possible.
